Andrea Morris lives in Merced. She has two earned master’s degrees, in art and cultural anthropology. She has worked as a museum curator, supervisor, public relations director, university lecturer, grant writer and fundraiser. Many years ago, Andrea began a very difficult and trying time in her life. She had a series of medical diagnoses and became familiar with the medical journey to healing. Her artwork reflects that journey. Morris uses watercolors, charcoal and pencil drawings, pastels and oils in her artwork. Her work is intended to inspire and encourage those who may find themselves on a similar “unintended” journey into sickness and healing. Receptions will be held on April 20 and May 18 from 5-9 pm.
